We at KHS High School Baner provide ample opportunities to all our students to explore and identify their own potential. Every child gets exposure and creativity is nurtured by providing safe and competitive environment.

Our learning philosophy is based on three principles:

OVERALL DEVELOPMENT

We develop the child in a holistic manner through academics, co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Our activities boost academic learning as well as develop interpersonal and leadership skills. We take great care to inculcate emotional sensitivity, compassion and a sense of social awareness in our children to help them grow into balanced individuals.

BUILDING CONFIDENCE

We believe that an environment which is free of fear and full of opportunities is a prerequisite for optimum development. We encourage collaborative learning and provide a multitude of experiences through school life. Our teachers empower the students to have confidence in their abilities and believe in making their dreams a reality.

Our staff is truly the heartbeat of our the school.

All our teachers are very enthusiastic about their work and are always willing to learn, explore and experiment. They have an empathetic attitude towards the students and strive to make their teaching methods interactive and student centric. Teachers take the initiative and frequently attend outside courses, workshops, orientations as well as in-house trainings. They do extensive research, undergo evaluations and adopt current and best teaching practices and subject knowledge. At khs high school baner, we are committed to staying on par with the rapidly changing needs of the world. We encourage peer education amongst our teachers. Sharing the ‘AHA’ moments during the quality circle is one such activity when teachers learn from each other’s experiences through sharing it and offering feedback.

FACILITIES

Computer lab

Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao High School, Baner's computer lab provides LAN and internet facility for both students and teachers to provide access to innovative methods and resources of teaching and learning. The school has Smart Boards to aid teaching through media resources.

Library

The khs high school baner section’s school library provides a calm, inviting environment which is full of ideas and magical worlds. Students can use a variety of print and non-print media to kindle their intellectual flame. We open larger avenues for learners through informal instruction and individual mentoring, communication with faculty, online and library-oriented research support during and after school hours.

Science lab

Our students spend most of the science periods in labs scientific method actively experimenting what is taught in classrooms by the teachers. Khs high school baner labs are equipped with the latest technological devices to support cutting-edge experimentation and innovation. All our students inculcate scientific methods from the very beginning to design and execute their own experiments, record their findings in a systematic manner and draw up scientific reports.

Counselling unit

Khs high school baner counselling unit conducts interactive sessions and activities to help students cope with issues like emotions, attitudes and peer pressure in healthy and assertive ways. Our counsellors play an important role in helping secondary students and their parents during the transition from childhood to adolescence and onward to adulthood. They guide and help children at both the ends of the learning spectrum.Our ‘Special Needs’ programme caters to children with learning disabilities. The ’Gifted and Talented’ programme provides guidance to children with exceptional abilities in one or more areas, the opportunity to explore/nurture their potential. It is only through encouraging our young geniuses that we can truly progress.

Playground

Our large playground provides the space for a variety of games and sports to encourage team work, talent and health.
